The AP Biology exam is one of the most popular and rewarding Advanced Placement tests, opening doors to college credit and advanced coursework in the life sciences. At UniQ Prep in Edison, Piscataway, South Plainfield, NJ & Online, our 10-week intensive AP Biology exam prep course is designed to give students the focused review, practice, and confidence they need to score a 4 or 5 on exam day.
10-Week Intensive Exam Prep Format
Our AP Biology exam prep course runs for 10 weeks leading up to the May 2026 exam. Each session is structured to maximize retention and build the skills that the College Board tests most heavily. Rather than re-teaching the entire AP Biology curriculum, we focus on the high-yield topics and question types that appear most frequently on the exam. Students receive targeted instruction, work through real AP-style problems, and get individualized feedback on their progress each week.
Understanding the AP Biology Exam Format
The AP Biology exam consists of two sections. Section I contains 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. These questions test your ability to interpret data, analyze experimental setups, and apply biological concepts. Section II includes 6 free-response questions, also with a 90-minute time limit. The free-response section requires students to construct written explanations, analyze data sets, design experiments, and make connections across biological topics. Success on both sections demands not just content knowledge but also strong analytical and writing skills.
Topics Covered in Our AP Bio Review
Our 10-week review covers all major content areas tested on the AP Biology exam, including:
- Evolution – Natural selection, speciation, phylogenetics, and evidence for evolution
- Cellular Processes – Cell structure, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, and cell division
- Genetics and Information Transfer – DNA replication, gene expression, heredity, and biotechnology
- Ecology – Population dynamics, community interactions, ecosystems, and biodiversity
- Biological Systems Interactions – Feedback mechanisms, homeostasis, and interdependence of organ systems
Each topic is reviewed through a combination of concept summaries, visual models, and practice questions that mirror the style and difficulty of the actual AP exam.
The UniQ Prep Approach
At UniQ Prep, we believe that effective AP exam preparation goes beyond memorization. Our instructors guide students through focused content review sessions that emphasize understanding over rote learning. Students practice with authentic free-response questions (FRQs) drawn from past exams, learning how to structure their answers for maximum points. We dedicate significant time to data analysis skills, teaching students how to read graphs, interpret experimental results, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Our exam strategy sessions cover time management, question triage techniques, and how to avoid common mistakes that cost students valuable points.
May 2026 AP Biology Exam
The AP Biology exam is scheduled for May 2026, as set by the College Board. Our 10-week prep course is timed to conclude just before the exam, so students walk in fully prepared and confident. We recommend enrolling early to secure your spot, as class sizes are kept small to allow for personalized attention.
